Cyber Cleanse
A 7-Day Reset for Conscious Social Media Use
Use social media without letting it use you.
Day 1: Clear the Feed
Theme: Unfollow to Feel Better
• Audit your social media.
• Unfollow or mute anyone who:
- Triggers comparison
- Pushes constant fear or negativity
- Makes you feel 'less than'
• Follow accounts that:
- Uplift, educate, inspire, or nourish
- Align with your values, healing path, or creativity
• Optional: Create a “clean” alt account to curate your dream feed. Journal prompt: What do I want to feel when I scroll? What’s missing?
Day 2: Set Sacred Limits
Theme: Scroll Less, Live More
• Set app timers (iOS or Android settings) for 30–60 minutes/day
• Schedule intentional scroll times (e.g. 10 min AM / 20 min PM)
• Move all social apps off your home screen
• Use a wallpaper that says: “My time is sacred.”
Practice: Go outside or stretch every time you get the itch to scroll.
Day 3: Build Your Sanctuary Feed
Theme: Curate Consciously
• Search and follow 5–10 accounts in these categories:
- Conscious health / spirituality
- Nature photography
- Inspiring thought leaders
- Real, raw, and honest storytelling
- Humor you actually laugh at
• Save favorite posts into folders (e.g., “Peace,” “Ideas,” “Truth”). Bonus: Share one inspiring post with your own reflection — not for likes, but as medicine.
Day 4: Emotional Resilience Scroll
Theme: How to Handle Triggers with Grace
• When something stings (envy, outrage, sadness), PAUSE, then:
1. Breathe.
2. Ask: What is this post reflecting back to me?
3. Bless the person, then decide: mute, unfollow, or reframe? Prayer: “I bless what I see. I honor the story. I return to my truth.”
Day 5: Speak Your Truth Online (Without Burning Down the House)
Theme: Courage + Discernment = Power
• Speak from lived experience, not against others
• Avoid inflammatory language (e.g., 'wake up,' “sheeple”)
• Use 'I' language and spiritual framing
• Know when to walk away from a comment thread
Optional template: “This is my lived experience. I’m sharing it for those who may resonate. We all walk different paths, and that’s okay.”
Affirmation: My voice is sacred. My silence is too.
Day 6: Clickbait vs. Soul Tools
Theme: Discernment in the Age of Wellness Ads
• Acknowledge: yes, some products are amazing. But ask before buying:
- Do I already have something similar?
- Will I realistically use it in the next 2 weeks?
- Am I trying to fix myself or support myself?
Mantra: “I am not broken. My healing is not for sale.”
• Make a Wishlist folder or note:
- Add links for later.
- Revisit after 7 days. Most desires fade.
• Designate one “treat yourself” day each season — make purchases with joy, not urgency.
Journal prompt: What am I trying to feel when I shop for health? Safety? Hope? Control? Beauty?
Day 7: Rabbit Holes & the Wisdom to Walk Away
Theme: Don’t Lose the Plot
• Deep research is powerful. But beware:
- Doom spirals
- Time drains
- Emotional dysregulation
• Ask before diving in:
- Am I grounded?
- Do I need this info, or am I seeking control?
- Will this energize me or steal my joy?
• Set a 20-minute research timer. Then pause.
• Practice integrating what you already know.
Soul strategy:
- If a rabbit hole stirs fear, go outside and reconnect with real life. Touch a tree. Talk to a friend. Cook something nourishing.
-Don’t try to wake people up. Be the wake-up call by how you live.
Prayer for discernment: “Mother Father God, let me see what I need to see, and let me rest where I can’t yet know.”
Bonus: Cyber Sabbath Ritual
Pick one day a week to go offline completely.
Light a candle and declare: “Today, I return to the real.”
Actually go into nature and return to the real—forest bathe, walk, swim.
Reflect on how you feel by sunset.
